Youth Dramatics
Youth Dramatics was a passion project started in 2016. Originally, it was an idea I came up with but was ultimately too young to lead, so my father and I worked together to make it into reality. In 2019, fresh out of high school, I took over the program with someone who would become my dear friend and Co-Coordinator for the next six years, Jake Richardson.
Youth Dramatics was and is the greatest thing I’ve done in my career so far. A fully volunteer based program, Jake and I would host students 6th to 12th grade every second Tuesday of the month. Throughout that time, I got to meet many different students and form relationships with kids who I am still in touch with. We taught the basics of acting, improv, and more, and they taught us how special it is to give young people independent spaces, especially creatively.
Leaving in 2024 was the hardest thing I have ever done. While Jake and I were ready to move on to different things; moving farther away, getting married, all the things that come with life; we still cherish the memories that were made. This selection of photos are memories, art, and more created throughout the years we did this wonderful program.
